When I first heard of tai chi in space, I suspected that it might be a novelty item done for pure entertainment value. The Chinese astronauts, however, appear to be taking it quite seriously. They regularly practise a routine which was designed specifically for the Chinese space program in order to help the astronauts remain fit during long periods of weightlessness.
